 Terms and conditions of entry

Xarxa Vives d’Universitats is holding a prize draw for university students who take part in the fourth Via Universitària programme: university entrance, learning conditions, expectations and benefits of university studies.

Survey and prize draw dates

The survey will be active from 1 February to 14 March 2024

Prize

The prize will be 2 iPhone 14, awarded by drawing lots among the entrants.

Requirements for entering the prize draw

You must be a student at one of the 20 universities belonging to the Xarxa Vives network that are taking part in the fourth edition of Via Universitària survey and have answered at least 80% of the online questionnaire.

How the prize draw will take place

It will be carried out by selecting, at random, a number that the system issues when the survey is filled in. All of the surveys received by the end date stated above will be included.

Awarding of the prize and acceptance

Xarxa Vives d’Universitats will notify the winners that they have been awarded the prize by e-mail sent to the address previously provided by the student. The e-mail will state how to collect the prize. In any case, Xarxa Vives d’Universitats shall publish the list of winners on www.viauniversitaria.net and may publicise it, including names, surnames and, when applicable, the pictures taken when the prizes are awarded on its own sites, in the media and in activities to publicise the prize and/or Via Universitària programme. Students may object to such processing of their data only if they give a reason justifying it based on an overriding interest.

 Privacy policy

1. Details required, purpose and legal basis

In order to take part in the prize draw envisaged in these terms and conditions, the entrant must provide his/her university e-mail address. The e-mail address is compulsory and is provided for the sole purpose of holding the prize draw and contacting the winners to request further details. You may also freely consent to your address being kept in the computer systems in order to take part in future surveys.

Prize-winners’ data such as their full name, details concerning their studies, photographs and statements related to the awards ceremony may also be processed.

Acceptance of the terms and conditions of entry in the prize draw constitutes the legitimate legal basis for the purposes set forth in article 6(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation (Regulation (EU) 2016/679). If you agree to take part in future surveys of this or another type, the legal basis for the processing shall be your consent, which constitutes a legitimate legal basis for the purposes set forth in article 6(a) of the Regulation. This consent may be freely revoked. Withdrawal of consent shall take place from the time of its activation.

3. Recipients or categories of recipients of the data

In accordance with the awarding conditions, publication on the Internet of the information, use for publicising future editions and the tasks of releasing information to the media implies that the recipients of the data may be media of any kind, whether or not they are a communication company and users of the organisation’s websites and social networks. Under no circumstances will Associació Institut Joan Lluís Vives be responsible for third parties’ use of this information, including search engines and content aggregators.

4. Data storage period

The storage period of the data provided in order to hold the prize draw shall be that necessary for:

▪ Managing the prize draw and awarding the prize.

▪ Fulfilling tax obligations, when applicable.

In the case of the prize-winners, the data processed for publicity purposes may be maintained as a record of news.

The period the data provided are stored in order to carry out future surveys shall be linked to revocation of the consent given.

5. Personal rights

You may exercise the rights of access, rectification, deletion, objection or restriction of processing, and the right to portability, by writing to “Xarxa Vives d’Universitats, Àgora Universitària, Local 10. Universitat Jaume I. 12006 Castelló de la Plana”, enclosing a copy of an official document providing proof of your identity as well as documentation justifying the request.

7. Automated processing connected to the prize draw

The prize draw shall be conducted in an automated manner through a randomised process. The winners will be notified by email on or before 29 April 2024.

The fact of entering the prize draw implies that the entrant completely accepts these terms and conditions.
